The Student Canteen at Flandreau Indian School is the meeting place for students after school, evenings, and weekends — snacks, games, dances, and downtime with friends.

Location
The student canteen is on the upper level of the Home Living Building, located on the east side of campus behind the Auditorium. It's where students gather after school, in the evenings, and on weekends.
Students may buy candy, pop, gum, chips, pizzas, sandwiches, and more.

Activity Card required
Only on rare occasions can a student get into the Canteen without an Activity Card. To use this facility, students must present their Activity Card to the employee stationed at the entrance.
No card — No entry.
Behavior & rules
The Canteen may be closed at any time by the Canteen Manager when students do not adhere to reasonable standards of behavior. The Canteen is staffed by one full-time manager with help from the Recreation staff.

FIS students may apply for the various jobs available in the Canteen and are paid according to the guidelines of the Work-Study Program.
